Why did I create this website? Simply said, this is the extent one must go to with Mercedes Benz to get them to listen. Make sure you understand this can happen to you, before you purchase or lease a Mercedes Benz.

I'm as unsuspecting of a victim as anyone. I purchased my car new in March of 2001, and chose a Mercedes Benz because I thought it would be a reliable vehicle. I am a full time college student and entrepreneur with an internet company which takes up a lot of time. This is how I justified the hefty price tag of a Mercedes Benz - I could spend the extra money so I could keep my time on my priorities and not dealing with a used car.

I started noticing problem after problem arise with my car only 2 months into my ownership. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. Within the next year I would experience over 60 mechanical failures, some of which were taken in for more than 7 times. Everything from non-operational windows to a stalling engine and faulty transmission.

Throughout my entire ownership I pleaded and begged for help out of this vehicle, as it was costing me alot of time and money. In response, Mercedes Benz lead me to believe they were working on helping me. After a little more than 10 months, I realized no one was going to help me. I made effort to contact the business, but no one would talk to me. I tried to put together a lemon law case, however Mercedes Benz makes it very difficult to have your case heard before a 12 month waiting period (partly, this is because they do not have an arbitration program to help consumers). To me, that sounded unfair to a consumer - You purchase a problematic vehicle, manufacturer does nothing to help you out of it, and now you must wait out 12 months more in this car until anything can be done through court. I guess in economics it makes sense to Mercedes, as most people would cut their losses and sell the car or trade it in.

To this day, the only offer Mercedes Benz has ever made to get me out of my car and provide me with customer satisfaction came as $1,500 towards the purchase of a new car and this was clearly nothing more than a proposition for Mercedes Benz to profit further from me.

During the previous 2 months Mercedes Benz employees have tried everything to stop me from telling my story including threatening my life and assault. Is this the caliber of people you wish to purchase a car from? There are other car manufacturers out there with greater integrity that offer programs to help consumers that do end up with problematic vehicles. I suggest you at least look at such companies including BMW, Jaguar, Lexus, Porsche, Audi, and Infiniti.
